Brief History of Department

The Department of B.Ed. was started in 1960. The B.Ed. department of the college is situated in Grand city palace which is a historic building of District Balrampur. The building of City palace in which B.Ed. department is running was given by Maharaja Balrampur. All the facilities of B.Ed. department are available and well equipped with modern infrastructure. Smart Classes, Biometric device are available for the teaching staff as well as students. The B.Ed. department is approved with NCTE. Right from its beginning Dr. Kamal Mohan renowned educationist was appointed as first HOD for a long period from 1960 to 1981, served the department as HOD then after Dr. S. B. Mathur 1981 to 1990, Dr. (Smt.) Kala Srivastava from 1990 to 1993, Dr. (Smt.) Sita Rani Asthana 1993 to 1994, Dr. R. S. Mishra from 1994 to 2008, Dr. V. K. Mishra from 2008 to 2009, Dr. A. K. Singh from 2009 to 2015, Dr. (Smt.) Usha Singh for a short period in 2015. From July 2015 Prof. Raghvendra Singh is working as HOD and also the Dean of Education Siddhartha University, Kapilvastu, Siddharth Nagar.
