Brief History of the Department of Economics

The Department came in to existence at the time when this prestigious college was established in the year 1955. In the very beginning the department was led by Dr. Ram Krishna Vaish (1956-1961), who also served as the principal of this college. He was succeeded by Sri S.N. Singh (1961-1976). Sri A.P. Agarwal took the charge in the year 1976. He served the department up to his retirement till 2018. Presently the department is functioning under Sri. Shivanand Pandey (Guest Faculty).
