Order dated 24.09.2004 passed by the Hon’ble High Court Allahabad Division Bench Lucknow in the petition no. 4477- Management Committee vs State Government and order dated 22.12.2005 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition no. 24295/2004 mentioned on page no. 3-4, following the section 6.1.2-5, in place of “The Student Union” the system of the former “Student Council” is ensured in the college.

Student Council in M. L. K. P. G. College:

The student (boy/girl) of M.A ./ M.Sc./ B.Ed. first, second year, B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com / B.B.A. / B.C.A. first, second and third year with highest mark will be the head of the student Council and the students of the said category will be the members of the Student Council and other committees. One boy student and one girl student from the class having the strength of more than 1000 students will be nominated as additional members in the Student Council. The additional member will be first in the order of merit after the students with the highest marks.

strong> The students having the following achievements will specially be nominated in the student council-

• Best one student of NCC holding ‘C’/’G’ Certificate.
• The student who has been awarded for participating in Two Special Camps and spent 240 hours in General Program under the National Service Scheme.
• Best one student of Scout Guide awarded with National/Governor Award.
• Student (boy/girl) getting first/second/third place in single competitions of National/State level Inter-University Sports.
• If there is no representation of Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Minority Community and Girl among the students selected in the above form of the Student Council, a student of the last year of the Post Graduate Courses who has not represented earlier will be nominated as special member in the Student Council.
